The Flapper

This was another girl paint for the Drawing Board, we were going for the old school Flapper look, once again pencils Studioape colours by me.

Concepts

A while back I worked on a pitch for a BBC Doco called Robosapiens, I did a few quick concepts, this was a transition from bot to man and a bit of colour look. I was trying to create a cold and sterile environment as well. Studioape sketched it out first then I finished it off and coloured it.

Girls

This was a quick paint for the girl thread on the drawing board, pencils by the talented MR Anderson (studio ape) and colours by me, her name was Tina. K

George of the Jungle

A couple of years ago i worked on the opening titles and the vfx for George of the Jungle 2. Cant say much for the quality of the film but the titles were great and was stoked to be working on them. I was working with an awesome bunch of guys and we had lots of late nights and many a laugh. I have heaps of stuff which i will post over time but here is a couple of my favourite shots that i worked on from the titles.

Props

This was a quick speedpaint for the propellor thread on the Sijun forums (Link to the right)

Bellends

During the making of the titles for George of the Jungle 2 we all started to go a bit loopy from the amount of time we were spending at work. Everyday we came in around 10am, struggled to get going, then around 6pm we everynight we would have a curry from Punjabi Palace in brisbane (Best indian in Aus i reckon !) Then after that we start cookin !, chain smoke, paint, drink to much coke etc etc, of home around 11 or 12 then back in to do it all again ! Anyway during this time we had a fantastic 2D guy in Adam Rapson, he would draw funny sh#t and we would paint it.

Architectural

I did a quick architectural rendering for another Brissy company a while back. They gave me some ink drawings to go from. I was working with a fantastic 3D artist (Aaron Briggs) He built it super fast and rendered a greyscale for me plus a dirt pass. I spent a couple of days painting. Unfortunatley they faffed us around and the project was never finished.

Here we go
